Hi All
We all know that Inside-Painting artists use alternate art names (pen names)
I have never ( yet) found a a serious analysis of
why artists do this but my assumption is that it's for one of several reasons:
1. They change their art names according to different phases of their career
2. They change their names according to different styles / themes
3. When selling off practice bottles cheaply to raise cash for living expenses they use a different art name so as not to " degrade" the value of their best works under their real name ( or "prime" art name)
4. They actually do change their real names (this can happen in China more often than in the West )
5. They adopt the name as the "Owner " of their own art studio e.g "The Owner of XYZ Studio"
6. They are given a nick-name which they eventually adopt as their given name
7. Any other reasons ? Does anyone know of any ?
Also does anyone know of where I can find some serious research into this ?

Now here's a fun little competition ....
Can you tell me the real names of the artists behind these art names ?
