Beautifully painted....(yes painted not print/photo) it is a modern and probably a better class tourist bottle......but so much work has gone into this, it must have taken days if not weeks to paint. Those puppies are so cute couldnt you just hug them? Would anyone recognise the sigature or writing on this bottle? Thanks guys.
Cheers, Brenda

I like this one a lot Brenda.. !

Looking closely, I can see the artist painted with very good detailing..  I think it is far better than a tourist grade bottle, and I would have no problem having this added to my collection ..

Congrats !

Brenda,

The work is done by the artist 翰德(pronounced as Han-de ) if I read them correctly because
the second word appears not so sharp in your picture. No date indicated, which is usually the case for tourist pieces.

Hi Inn Bok, thank you....you have to wonder how such slow detailed work could possibly be worth the amount of time put into it......it would seem to me that the poor artist would not really be paid enough to make it worth while.

Dear Brenda,
I was in transit, and am back in my summer home in Ireland.
1.The bottle is very well painted.
2.To someone painting for a living, "paid enough" is a relative concept. There is a reason for the phrase "starving artists", though I am sure that they don't starve today in the PRC.  Wink
Best,
Shabbat Shalom,
Joey

Hi All

Han  De 翰 德  ( art name)  =   Song Yunfei 宋 云 飞  ( real name)

He  specializes ( iter   alia)  in   animal  IPBs  ,  especially  dogs .  Check  out  my  DB

But  although  I  can clearly  see  the  Han   character 翰  the   second  character  does  not  look like a
a  De 德  ( at least  not to me)

Can  someone    who is a  first-language  Chinese  person  please  help  clarify

Song Yunfei  bottles  sell  for  about  US$1,000

BTW:   as  Geoff  keeps  pointing  out  with   bird pic  bottles,  almost  every  one  is  copied  from this  or  that  specialist bird  book .  The same  goes  for  these  puppies, I'm  certain  :  the  bottle  was   copied   from  either  an  oil  painting  of   puppies  or  from a   dog  book.  Copy  painting  is   relatively   quick to  do  -  I  guess not  more than a  week  in this  case.

Cheers
Peter

Dear Brenda,
They are seals, painted to look like the cinnabar red chops which artists and collectors would stamp on their works and possessions. Sometimes it  just reads 'seal'; many times, it is a copy of the artist's personal chop.

Dear Brenda,

To help ascertain the two Chinese characters, perhaps you could try to take another
shot at the words ? Aim at them perpendicularly and in focus, if possible.

Peter,

Because of the numerous strokes of the word ' 德 ', the running script could be written by
feeling by the artist ( that corner of the bottle is a tough spot ! )

Dear Brenda,
That is 翰德 and his strokes are very nice.
Nice looking bottle even though I have next to zero knowledge of modern IP.
Cheers,

Thanks Brenda.

The picture is well taken indeed. And YT has confirmed the characters.

Peter,

Your data base has revealed his identity in the earlier post. Thanks.
