I just got my copy of the Lilla Perry book (from a dealer on Amazon) and have started reading it.  Lots of nice pictures in it.  The other book, The Collector's Book of Snuff Bottles, I am having the local library get through interlibrary loan since I could not find a cheap copy to buy yet.

Just bought two bottles as well, one porcelain with flowers and a grasshopper, and the other of an unknown material.  They were cheap so not expecting anything great, but they were attractive.  When I get them I'll post some pictures.

Brad,
Lilla Perry's book was my 'Bible' on snuff bottles from my start in Feb.1970, till I got Bob Stevens' book in 1976, which became my 'Talmud'.  Wink
Both are great books. I Still prefer Mrs. Perry's...

Dear all,
can I have the exact references of the two books?
I mean, the exact title, the ISBN number and the year of release, or which is the best edition in case of multiple release?
Thank you very much in advance

Dear Giovanni,

These two links to Abebooks will give you the details you need, and all the available copies:

Lilla Perry, 'Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Adventures of a Collector' -

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=Perry%2C+Lilla&sts=t&tn=Chinese+Snuff+Bottles

and Bob Stevens, 'The Collector's Book of Snuff Bottles' -

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=Stevens%2C+Bob&sts=t&tn=Collector%27s+Book+of+Snuff+Bottles

Try and get the best condition copies you can. Both will get heavily used...!   Wink

Never know, but this seller may let a copy of Bob's book go for 60.00 or so...

Dear Giovanni,

A pity that the seller is not in Rome, Italy, because the Bob Stevens book is a heavy one. Try and find a seller on Abebooks who is based in Europe. Otherwise the postage may cost you more than the book!  Grin
