Hi YeePin,

Its not a Ye zhongsan bottle, the painting is pretty good, but the shape, the color are wrong for a YZS bottle.

If you could find the international chinese snuff bottle society Journal 1985, there are more than hundreds of Ye family bottles published in article" The Apricot Grove Studio", they will be very helpful for identifying the Ye family bottles.

Best!

Steven

BTW, I don't recall that Ye Zhongsan has ever painted this goose subject( I could be wrong, only  Ye bengqi( Ye zhongsan's son) painted a few at 30s-40s), attached you can find one, unsigned, but could be from Ye bengqi or Ye shuying.
The painting on the pic you posted is more like a Su fengyu's( a modern master) style.

Dear Joey ,

Both Su Fengyu and Su Fengyi are correct, Su Fengyi is his real name, but he always sign his bottles as " Fengyu".

Dear Steven,
Thank you for passing on that bit of info. Would you believe that I have over 36 bottles by him, but not being able to read Chinese, I never knew that!
Shabbat Shalom,
Joey

Master Su is a superb artist in all subjects. He  2 or three years ago, he offered me a  bottle he'd painted of  the 'Bai Sui Tu' subject ("Picture of 100 Year Old [things]", which we used to call 'Bapo') in quartz. It was superb, but at US$5,000, I thought too dear.
