Micaela,

Yes, the snuff bottle is Chinese.  It is a contemporary bottle that is painted enamel on a copper base from what I can make out from the pictures.  This is a typical tourist trade bottle.  This type of bottle is rather common and can be purchased for $10-20 dollars US.  The mark on the bottle is Qianlong Nian Zhi - "Qianlong Period, Made", but the bottle is likely post 1970’s.
