I have just joined and extend my warmest wishes to everyone. My main interest is hardstone snuff bottles. I have worked in life as a water geologist and horticulturist. One of my present interests is inkstones including snuff bottles. This site looks very interesting and I will get back this evening and have a better look.

Welcome to the forum Peter!

You have certainly found the right place (in fact the ONLY place) to meet and chat about snuff bottles with like-minded people. We are a mixed bunch, some veteran collectors, some newbies, and from all corners of the globe. I myself live in Thailand, but originally come from the UK. BTW, I once worked in South Australia - great wine country!

Welcome to the Forum from me as well. I used to collect hardstone bottles, and still have a few.
I arrived 4 hrs. ago on a flight from London to Seattle, and I'm zonked.

Dear Peter,
welcome here! It is nice to have an expert on inkstones; the nice aspect of this site is that we have people interested on many different things. I am from Italy and started to be interested in snuff bottles not long ago, being Chinese ceramics my main interest.
Kind regards
Giovanni
