Dear Tom,
The Ancient Egyptians are no more. Same with the Nabataeans, the Phoenicians, the Hittites, the Babylonians, the Philistines, the Canaanites, the Jebusites, the Ancient Greeks, etc., etc.
We and the Armenians are about the only nations in Western Asia to have survived with our culture intact. And of course, China in East Asia...
Which is one reason I think China respects Israel. We hold onto our culture, while still developing and contributing to the world.
