When I saw this one, thought what an unusual mineral choice for a bottle..

Often it is brecciated and then healed, likely from earth movements when the opal was in the firm gel state, resulting in small pathways to form in the opalite. Also allowing the manganese oxide impurities in that form these dark, branching deposits that look like small mosses in the opal.

2 1/8" less the 5/8" carnelian stopper, and concave base.
