Hi Everyone,

I'm attaching a few photos of a bottle I have that I think is a modern overlay bottle, so I'm including it in this informative thread started by Tom.  All I know for certain is that it was purchased in Singapore in 1973.

I think it's blown amber glass with yellow applied overlay, vs. carved. Measuring 5.1 cm, it's flattened round shape reminds me of Shandong bottles from the 50's.  The overlay appears to be a peacock but I'm not sure of the foliage it's eating?  And I haven't seen the handle details of the tiger before, what is it holding?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Rube.
