I do not really care for the pointed shape to the sides of these bottles, but I do like the paintings.. Nothing spectacular, and I want to use words like rustic, or archaic to describe the painting style and color palette for lack of knowing a correct term.. Plus it was nice to purchase these as a pair..

On a side note..  The bottles already shared that were purchased via the Nephew selling his Uncles collection all have rather unusual/unique mineral selections for the stoppers..

Several have red chalcedony with black inclussions, and hints of Hematite.. Unkown to me..

One of the bottles below has a stopper made from a rather rare, and fairly new to market version Australian Tiger Eye.. It is from a mine that is close to some of the mines where regular Tiger Eye, and Tiger Irons comes from, but is extra chatoyant with iridescent patterns from Golden Tiger Eye, Hematite, and Red Jasper  I received some of the very first rough available just a few short years ago when it first became available.. It is a bit rare..

A couple of bottles from the same group that I have yet to post have stoppers made from and Imperial Jasper..

Perhaps it is just because I have little exposure to Modern or Very Modern bottles, but I have never seen these interesting minerals used as stoppers before..

Hi  George

Actually  my  comment   was  meant  to   apply  to  the  other  recently  posted  bottle  ( some  very  well painted   birds )

But it  applies  even  more  in the  case  of this   square-shaped   bottle

Definitely   only  "good   gift  quality "

Cheers

The two bottles were from Li Shou Xun's studio.
The artist  is Jia Yi. And he is one of Li Shou Xun's students.
The two bottles were painted in the year of 2011.

Hi Mike

Is  the  artist's  name  Jia  Yi  ( 佳 艺)    a   real  name or a  pen name ?

(If   Jia Yi is  a  pen name,  what is  the  artist's real name ?

When  was the   artist  born ?

Cheers
