Looks like a chinese charactor sort of jumping in the air, clicking his heels.. For lack of a better description..

If correct, does someone have a clear example of the same ?

George,

Only a guess, but if I recall there is a pig character in the 16th century novel 'Journey to the West' (i.e., the story of the Monkey King).  Thats what it appears to me.

Hi Charll,

You are really good, I didn't think of that when the first time I saw it,so I kept quiet.Smiley

-George,

That is a graphic mark or I called pattern mark we talked about a while back, as I said, I always think the pattern marks are related with the motif of the bottle, that is really good example, the mark is indeed the pig Zhu bajie, and the theme is Pan si dong  盘丝洞 or Pan si cave, there are lots of spider witches living in the cave, and they all want to eat Tang Monk who is monkey king and the Pig's master, those ladies on the bottle are all the spider witches, and the base mark should be the pig.

I wish that you got the bottle, its a very good price, and I think its a later 19th bottle.

Steven
