Truly a beauty!

I really wish one day those modern enamel bottles can have the the signature signed like modern IPs, I bet the value of those bottles will be more realized in that case.

I know what you mean Steven..

I know little about these.. But I have a book showing Master You Fenghua bottle examples.. None of here works are signed..

So if a person did purchase, and pay high dollar for a bottle painted by a Master like You Fenghua, I think that documentation is an absolute must since they are not signed..

Love the bottle.  They must consider starting to sign these, it only makes good business sense to me.  I think we should encourage those we know who market for these artist to encourage them to do so.  It is to their benefit and  thinking forward 100 years it will be so important for the collectors to know who created these wonderful works of art. Thats my 2 cents!!!! jo

Really does not make sense they would not sign such an incredible piece of work. Go figure... this one is stunning.. 100 years frrom now someone would pay a lot of money given the right provenance and signature.

On another note though, the IP bottles the dealer has raise question marks.

Hi George

I have to correct you here.

According to Master You, she has started to inscribe her signature, You Fenghua Zhi (made by You Fenghua) on the base of her bottles since 2008. Before that, her works carry the apocryphal Qianlong Nian Zhi mark.

This was clearly indicated in her book under the introduction and also in a section, Opinion on "Marks" under the Enamelled Glass Painting chapter.

For your reference.

Regards.

Richard
