WE WERE LUCKY TO FIND THIS BOTTLE, STUNNING FLORAL PATTERN. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GO ABOUT READING THE SEAL....THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.....DENNIS

Hi Dennis,

The seal can be read" Jing Tai lan"景泰蓝 which is "cloisonne on brass" in chinese.

I assume its a post 1950 bottle only based on the seal.

I agree with all the comments. It's most probably post-1960, but a very attractive bottle. I have not seen many modern cloisonne bottles of double gourd shape. It is nicely made.

Hi Inn Bok,
    That's a very attractive bottle - thanks for sharing. If I remember correctly, you showed me pictures of it when we met in Bangkok. Am I right?
    A small tip about posting pictures on the Forum: file size of 100-200KB is usually sufficient. As you can see, your photo is super large when you click on it, and cannot fit on the screen. We try and set ourselves a limit of 400KB per image, although, as mentioned, 100-200KB works best.  Smiley
