I am having a hard time counting the figures in the carving, so not absolutely sure of the theme..

It is carved from some kind of wood, with a carved bone base, and the center ring is stone.. The description also describes the top as being stone too.. Not sure what to make of the top portion yet..

Maybe will get a better idea of the theme once it arrives and can easily count the figures.

2 1/4" tall..

Hi George,

The wood does't look right to me, maybe you can have a better inspection when it arrives.

Can't help more.

George,

It looks very much like some carved walnuts I have, showing the 18 luohan. The slightly waxy patina and carving are very similar. From your pictures the bottle appears to have been created from two, or even three, separate nuts. I guess you will be able to form a better opinion when it arrives.
