Steven,
I'm right in that the threading is standard, yes?
Cheers,
Rube

Steven,
I don't have a great shot of the spoon unfortunately. It's kinda spindly, though, as you can tell from the one pic I did provide. Would you expect to see one with a wider surface?
Cheers,
Rube

Charll,
Thanks for providing the historical context about the stopper. I wondered about the material and thought it must have been stained. Glad to know what it is.
Cheers,
Rube

Joey,
Wow, that's great! I think the enameling is well mottled. I'm not sure about the threading directions, I'm thinking it's standard. Thanks for the follow up info about the two different enamel centers, and analysis about green used in Guangzhou bottles.
Cheers,
Rube

Samson,
That's amazing! I didn't recognize the provenance, if I recall it was Ozorio? Anyhow, I've really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful bottles you've been posting, so, I feel fortunate that this one you'd have considered for your collection! I bought a moss agate bottle of his too.
Joey,
There is a thread on the Forum about Mr. Snively's spoons, they're incredible! But, I'm not sure this barley twist was one of his or not? If so, I'm honored!
Cheers,
Rube

Joey,

Thanks for your comments, and sorry about the pics.

I'd like to share another, this is a complete mystery because it's not on my grandmother's list, and it was in her cabinet.
My aunt has no recollection of it either, so, any help is greatly appreciated. It measures 2 1/2" w/o stopper and has a threaded neck and spoon, which I haven't come across too often.

Cheers,

Rube.

Samson,

Yep! Late last year, one that I bought at auction.

Cheers,

Greetings everyone,

I'd like to share a few enamel on copper bottles for your review.  The first is "Canton Enamel"?
I can't tell you the height because I forgot to measure it, but I'll guess 2 5/16" w/o the faded blue stone stopper.  There is no mark on the bottom.  I see these come up at auction from time to time, and they never bring in too much, so I'm guessing 20th century?

Cheers,

Rube.

Joey,

Are these the two extremes, core drilled and superbly well hollowed?

Cheers,
Rube.

Joey,
Thanks for categories!
After describing them to my brother, he says "well hollowed".

Thanks for your comments everyone!
Joey, I thought there was mention about bottles that had green overlay became available in the 30's, that's why I guessed.

Cheers,
Rube

Hello All,

I'd like to add another bottle to this thread.  It's a 4 sided Shandong bottle with green overlay.  It measures 2 7/8" w/o the malachite stopper, has a slightly concave lip and base.  After looking at Pat's collection on Bill Patrick's site, I'm guessing 1930's?  Thoughts?

Cheers,

Rube.

Tom,

Here is the rutilated quartz bottle, measuring 49mm w/o coral stopper.  I think it is carved in the shape of a fruit?

Cheers,

Rube.

Steven and Tom,
Thanks for your comments about this bottle.
Tom, I'm glad you like it, as I was hesitant to post it on your thread as it's far from crystal clear. I photographed a rutile one, not as nice IMO, but I'll share it too for comparison.
Cheers,
Rube

Mat,
Thanks for sharing that information.
Steven,
I see your point about the bottles exhibiting Japanese aesthetic, I'd guess definitely yours and the last one. Your bottle is fantastic! #942 from Bob Stevens (late 19th-20th cen.) is also similar.
Cheers,
Rube

Thanks for your comments everyone! I'm glad to know about the dating, especially since it doesn't exhibit great hollowing.
Jo, it would look nice next to your fine purse! Unfortunately it's not mine to part with.
Joey, you're right about Bob Stevens: #463.
Cheers,
Rube

Joey and Pin,

Thanks for your comments!  I'm pretty fond of "Tourmalinated Quartz" bottles too, especially this one.

Cheers,

Rube.
