Title: My first IPSB
Post by: albert on February 14, 2018, 08:54:15 am
Dear collectors,

I'm happy to show my first inside painted snuff bottle, It is made by Yong Shou Tian. It is not a very rare old bottle, but is mine :). It is a typical painting of this artist, showing warriors among mountains.

Best,
Albert.

Congrats Albert!

Once you have one IPSB, you're bound to covet more!
I like the warrior themed bottles too.  There have been many a thread on the Forum about Yong Shoutian's work and this may be from his student, or some speculate, Liu Qiao.  Either way, nice one!  I like the color and shape.  How tall is it?

Cheers,

Rube.

Dear Albert,

Congratulations. A nice example. And at least a genuine Middle Period bottle.
Best,
Joey

Hi Albert,

A nice buy as your first Middle period bottle. I did add something to one post on Yong Shoutian's bottles about the differences between his work and the student bottles signed as by him as I have one of each but I can't recall which was which without refreshing myself on the subject  ???

Regards, Adrian.

Dear Rube,
you did ask how tall is the bottle.
It is evident, about a half meter, or 20 inches😊 ;D ;D
Dear Albert, seriously speaking now, it is essential to resize the pictures before posting, the ideal size is about 800 pixels. If the image is too big, it is almost impossible to have a correct idea.
Kind regards
Giovanni

Joey

Dear all,

Thank you very much for all your comments, I'm very happy with this bottle because it is my first IPSF and becauser I have been waiting and studing for a long time before to get it, and because it have a intense colours and without any damage in the painting. The size of the bottle is 3'9 inch or 10 cm, I have understood that this size was made arround the year 1920's.

Albert.

Dear Giovanni,

In reference to the size of the picture, I know that the first one is too big, but are the others also too big? I don't remember the chosen size, butI can see them very well on my screen.
Are they still too big for your?

Best,
Albert,

Dear Albert, yes, the longest side is 1800 pixels, and because it is the vertical one, it is bigger than the vertical side of the monitors.
Kind regards
Giovanni
