Title: Bi Rongjiu Shandong Landscape Bottle Post by: bokaba on November 30, 2016, 02:29:04 pm Dear Members,
This is a landscape bottle I've had for several months now. It is about 3 1/2 inches tall not including the stopper. I have been told that it is a Bi Rongjiu Shandong piece from the late 19th/early 20th Century. The Bi Rongjiu pieces I have seen vary quite a bit in painting quality. Please let me know if clearer pictures are needed. I own about a dozen or so Bi Rongjiu bottles and yes the quality varies but I don't believe this is of his hands. Maybe others can chime in. In general when he has space to paint like this example style the quality tends to be better. I see what you mean. Many of the Ronjiu bottles have crisper artwork than mine. Perhaps Steven or Joey can comment. They identified a bottle with very similar artwork as Rongjiu albeit a much smaller one. I will try to put up some clearer pictures.
