Dear all,
back home after a surgery that kept me nine days at the hospital. Now I need about one month of convalescence for full recovery. I can't stay hours at the computer, but everything went well and I am very happy to back within you.

Dear Giovanni,

Nine days in a hospital doesn't sound like a small surgery, I hope you didn't suffer much.
Get well Soon!! Very happy you are back. ;D

Warmest Regards,
YT

Dear Giovanni,

I wish you a full and speedy recovery! I did not realise you were to be so long in hospital. I thought it was for 2-3 days.
Best,
Joey

That's an understatement ... !   Say, just a heads up to all from this recent computer purchase..  It seems Windows 10 is super sensitive to everything.. Apparently it is wise make sure what ever we add or install is not any sort of old versions or equipment.. With all of Geek Squads tech knowledge, it even took them two full weeks, and the transfer of my files from one computer to another, not once, but four of their brand new computers only to finally realize a simple monitor adapter from a two year old monitor caused all those computers to immediately crash...

Windows ten is a bit awkward , and can not share any further experiences yet, but "very important" to not try and plug in, or add on in any way older versions and equipment..

Any way... Things seem to be running smoothly ...

Dear George,

I fully agree about your stand on windows 10.
Gotten a Surface pro 4 that runs on the same platform almost one month ago. Still have not figure out how to use it.

Cheers,
YT

For a long time I avoided Macs/Iphones but recently have been converting into the Apple world.  I had enough of all the problems/issues/viruses/etc. etc...

I agree and did consider Apple.. Never had any issues at all with the Performa line years ago.  I do like them, but the cost difference is considerable..

Dear George,

I have been a fanatical 'Apple/MacIntosh' loyalist since my first computer, an Apple 2E Plus in Sept. 1985! It was 128K, with 55k desktop, and a floppy disk drive. I had to print on paper that had rows of holes down each side.
I LOVE this brand. And they are almost NEVER targeted by hackers.

    Best,
Joey

Dear George,

That APPLE 2E Plus 128K computer with an HP printer set me back US$5,000 in Sept. 1985, too! But it was worth it! I did my whole almost 3 year long Israel Licenced Tour Guide Course on it. And I could print up copies of Trip Reports to hand in, and run up copies to help friends.
It was 'state of the art', though I bet most really serious computer people here on the Forum will be in shock that I EVER had 'state of the art' computer stuff!!!  ;D ::) ;)

Best to all,
Joey
